<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a transmission gear and improve the durability and maintainability and smooth a turning operation by setting up a power steering system provided with a steering torque detector from a steering wheel, and turning a rear-wheel steering shaft through the lower part of a battery via each of first to third step motor-driven means. CONSTITUTION:A steering torque acting on a steering wheel 6 is transmitted to an input shaft 13 by a transmission gear 7, and it is detected by a torque detector 14, so that the controller rotates a rear-wheel steering shaft at the specified auxiliary torque and speed with a motor M for a steering driver 11. In this case, both first and second chain wheels S1, S2 are set down to a chain C1 and a first step transmission means P1, also setting both fourth and third chain wheels S4, S3 at the lower end of a first vertical shaft 67 down to a second step transmission means P2. In addition, an interval between protruding ends where both first and second vertical shafts 67 and 77 are opposed to each other are connected through a universal joint and a joint shaft 94. In succession, both fifth and sixth chain wheels S5, S6 and a chain C3 are set down to a third step transmission means P3.</p> |
