<p>The invention concerns a roll of low-weight construction for a paper or board machine or for a paper or board finishing device. The roll frame of the roll (10) comprises a cylindrical mantle (11) with thin walls and a core part (12), which fills said cylindrical mantle fully or at least partly and which has been made of a filler material that has a low weight but that endures loading in the press direction well.
