An image processing apparatus, a method thereof, a program and a photographing device are provided to enable a composition corrector to correct a composition of a read original image and disclose an image of a desirable composition from the read original image. A detector(91) detects each center of plural interest images to which attention is paid among images included in an original image. A calculator(92) calculates an entire center of gravity of the plural interest images from each center of gravity of the plural interest images. A determiner(93) determines an area so that a ratio of a distance, from one edge of opposed edges of an area at the original image to the entire center of gravity, to a distance, from the other edge of the opposed edges of the area to the entire center of gravity, can be a pre-designated value for arousing aesthetic sense. |
