摘要 A lithium ion capacitor is provided to have high energy density, high capacity retention ratio during charging/discharging under a high load, and excellent durability. A lithium ion capacitor includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an aprotic organic solvent electrolyte solution of a lithium salt as an electrolyte solution. A positive electrode active material is a material capable of being doped/de-doped with lithium ions and/or anions. A negative electrode active material is a material capable of being doped/de-doped with lithium ions. The negative electrode and/or the positive electrode are doped with lithium ions to provide a potential of the positive electrode of 2 V(vs Li/Li+) or less after the positive electrode and negative electrode are short-circuited. The positive electrode has a positive electrode layer thickness of 18-108 micron.
