A water purification system in closed waters is provided to decrease phosphorous concentration and nitrogen concentration in water of the closed waters, thereby suppressing the proliferation of algae and purifying the water, by using a porous block and a phosphorous-adsorbing member. A water purification system comprises a porous block(B) disposed in a predetermined space of closed waters(W), and a phosphorous-adsorbing member(A) closely adhering to the porous block. The porous block is formed of volcanic rock having a plurality of pores, wherein the pores are formed in a surface of the volcanic rock and within the volcanic rock. The porous block has a weight percent of 5-10 wt% based on 100 wt% of water of the closed waters. |
