PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply producing gaseous hydrate at a low cost and a reaction vessel containing a means for separating the gaseous hydrate produced by the method and having a gas in high content and a condensed hydrate producing gas from liquid water/frozen water. SOLUTION: The method for producing the gaseous hydrate contains (1) a process for filling a certain quantity of the liquid water/the frozen water in a vessel 1, (2) a process for adding a certain quantity of the condensed hydrate producing gas so that the condensed gas is not brought into contact with the liquid water and (3) a process for generating a reaction mixture by allowing the condensed gas and/or the sublimated or the liquefied product to contact with the liquid water and/or the frozen water mixture under a suitable pressure and keeping the reaction mixture at a temp. equal to or below the max. temp. for the stability of the gaseous hydrate under a pressure suitable to produce the gaseous hydrate and for enough time.
