PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the rotation stop mechanism of a scroll type compressor with longer durability life by reducing the concentrated load in a rotation stop mechanism wherein a ball is sandwiched between a pair of races. SOLUTION: A rotation stop mechanism 10 for a scroll type compressor is provided with at least a pair of movable race 1 and a fixed race 2 opposed to each other uniaxially with a ball 3 inserted therebetween, which is disposed on a movable scroll member out of a fixed scroll member and a movable scroll member which relatively turn around the single axis, and thus the rotation of the movable scroll member is prevented. Opposing surfaces of the pair of the movable race 1 and the fixed race 2 are substantially in contact with each other. |
