<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double-layered capacitor capable of reducing the possibility that electrolyte may leak outside. SOLUTION: An electricity storage part 14 constituted by a separator 11, polarized electrodes 12, 12 made of an activated carbon sheet, and current collecting electrodes 13, 13 and containing organic solvent base electrolyte is covered with solid electrolyte 15 containing gel-like polymer gelled by a gelling agent. This ensures ion mobility between polarized electrodes 12, 12 opposed to each other across the separator 11, reduces the possibility that the electrolyte may leak even if a hole is made in a protective container 15, and makes it easy to handle the electricity storage part 14. Further, an electric double-layered condenser 1 is nearly equal to a conventional condenser even in characteristics such as electrostatic capacity and internal resistance: that is, electric double-layered capacitor 1 not only maintains performance but also improves safety.</p> |
