PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the unit assembling characteristic and sealing performance between a unit and a battery can be fixing an outer gasket of resin or rubber to an outside surface of the peripheral part of an outer case in the close contact condition. SOLUTION: An outer gasket 8 made of ethylene propylene rubber and having a U-shaped cross section is fixed to the outside surface of the peripheral part of an outer case 6 over the whole circumference in the close contact condition. This outer gasket 8 is molded for fixation to the outside surface of the peripheral part of the outer case 6 so as to seal between a battery can 21 and the outer case 6. With this structure, at the time of assembling a unit A in the battery can 21, a process for fitting the outer gasket 8 to the outer case 6 of the unit A is eliminated, and removal of the outer gasket 8 from the outer case 6 is thereby eliminated, and assembling characterisic is improved. Sealing between the outer case 6 and the outer gasket 8 is secured by close contact molding.
