PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harvester for root vegetables capable of well performing the harvesting of the root vegetables with a good operating efficiency even when the interrow spacing is narrow exceeding the tolerance from the interrow spacing which is a basis for setting the interval between a treating part and fixed wheels at a low cost. SOLUTION: This harvester for root vegetables is obtained by installing a conveying device 7 for nipping the leaf part of the root vegetables in a field, hanging and conveying the root vegetables to the upward rear, a positional arranging device 8 for introducing the hung and conveyed leaf part of the root vegetables into left and right lifted position regulating guide parts and regulating the lifting of the root vegetable body Kb during the movement to the rear and thereby arranging the height thereof, a cutter 9 for cutting the leaf part of the root vegetables having the height arranged with the positional arranging device 8 at a prescribed position and a gathering device 11 for gathering the root vegetable body Kb released from the positional arranging device 8 to the side of an already dug ground.
