PURPOSE: An electrode of a touch panel and a flat panel display with the touch panel are provided to compensate for a potential distortion, be applicable to a narrow area without the potential distortion, and maintain a linearity of a potential compensation electrode of a touch panel. CONSTITUTION: An active area is formed by interfaces(105a,105b) on a transparent electrode(102) of a substrate relative to the active area. The interfaces(105a,105b) are made by an interval between potential compensation electrodes(101a,101b). The potential compensation electrodes(101a,101b) form new interfaces(106a,106b) between the transparent electrode(102) based on the interfaces(105a,105b). As a potential on the potential compensation electrodes(101a,101b) becomes farther from a signal applying part(103), the interfaces(106a,106b) are connected with the transparent electrode(102) near to the interfaces(105a,105b) as much as the lowered potential in order to compensate for the potential on the potential compensation electrodes(101a,101b). The potential compensation electrodes(101a,101b) correspond to the interfaces(106a,106b) formed on the potential compensation electrodes(101a,101b). |
