METHOD OF EVALUATING SHAPE OF SYPHON CONDUIT AND PUMP DRAINAGE EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate good or bad of the shape of a syphon and the syphon forming time in a short time. SOLUTION: A transit, phenomenon for extruding a part of the air inside of a syphon conduit 2 like a piston from the beginning of the operation of a pump to the ordinary bubble engulfing condition is performed on the basis of the double-phase analysis. In a process of a rise of the double-phase water level for a long time from the formation of an air pocket to the formation of a pressure syphon, an estimation formula (empirical formula) utilizing analogy of the amount of entrained air is used to evaluate the shape of the syphon pipeline.
