PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake rotor improved in strength/accuracy, and reduced in cost by reducing weight and enhancing the ease of work. SOLUTION: This floating type disk brake rotor 1 is provided with an outer rotor 2 made of stainless steel and having a sliding part 2a in the outer peripheral thereof and having a fitting part 2c projected inward in the radial direction in the inner peripheral part thereof, an inner rotor 3 made of aluminum alloy and having a fitting part 3d projected outward in the radial direction in the outer peripheral part thereof, corresponding to the fitting part 2c, and having a wheel fitting hole 8 in the inner peripheral part thereof, and a caulking pin 6 to be fitted in a pin hole 7 formed of nearly semicircular recessed parts 2e and 3e formed in the fitting parts 2c and 3d, and both the rotors 2 and 3 are fixed by caulking the caulking pin 6 to transmit the torque. The inner rotor 3 is formed a little thicker than the outer rotor 2, and thickness of the fitting part 3d is formed nearly equal to that of the outer rotor 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
