An electrophoretic display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to significantly improve the response speed and the picture quality, by disposing an electrophoretic film between two array substrates, which are disposed to face each other. A first thin film transistor is formed on a lower substrate(111). A first pixel electrode(127) is formed above the lower substrate, and connected to the first thin film transistor. An electrophoretic film(129) is formed on the resultant substrate including the first pixel electrode. An upper substrate(211) is disposed above the electrophoretic film. A second thin film transistor and a second pixel electrode(227) connected to the second thin film transistor are respectively formed on the upper substrate. |
