PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a high-quality piezoelectric vibrator by generating an arc discharge only between a plasma arc electrode and an inner lead. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a cylinder-packaged piezoelectric vibrator comprises: a setting process of setting a piezoelectric vibration piece 2 and a plug 4 in a vibration piece holder and an airtight terminal holder, respectively; an adjustment process of adjusting a position so as to place an inner lead 26a on a mount electrode 16; an adhesion process of closely attaching the inner lead to the mount electrode by pressing down the plug with a press tool 35; a torch electrode setting process of setting a torch electrode; a bonding process of bonding the inner lead and the mount electrode by a plasma arc discharge; and a sealing process of sealing a case and a stem. In the method for manufacturing a piezoelectric vibrator, an unevenness forming process of forming unevenness on a surface of the inner lead is performed by pressing a projection member 41 to a predetermined position on the surface of the inner lead before performing the bonding process.
