<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To delete print history information as personal information accumulated in a printer which is disused by a user without making the user particularly conscious of it. <P>SOLUTION: When a printer driver is installed to a client computer, individual specification information is generated (steps 100-104). When print is instructed, the individual specification information is transmitted to a printer with a print job (steps 106-110). When display of print history information stored in the printer is instructed, print history information corresponding to the individual specification information is acquired and displayed (steps 112-116). When the printer driver is uninstalled, deletion of all corresponding print history information is instructed to the printer (steps 118-122).
