摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor hardly generating a water-incursion of a gas sensor element, and having excellent responsiveness. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor is supported in a measuring gas flow passage, and has a double-or-more cylindrical structure where an inner cylinder 12 and outer cylinder 13 having closed-end cylindrical shapes of different diameters for surrounding a part exposed to the measuring gases of the gas sensor element 11 for detecting concentration of a specified gas component are arranged concentrically. A side-surface clearance 200 is defined between the inner cylinder 12 and outer cylinder 13. An inner-cylinder side-surface opening 123 is disposed in the side-surface upper part 122 of the inner cylinder 12 in the upward opening direction from the outside to the inside of the inner cylinder 12. An inner-cylinder bottom-surface opening 126 is disposed in the bottom-surface center 125 of the inner cylinder 12. A plurality of outer-cylinder side-surface openings 132 for introducing the measuring gases to the side-surface clearance 200 are disposed in the side-surface upper part of the outer cylinder 13. The bottom-surface 134 of the outer cylinder is arranged under the bottom-surface 125 of the inner cylinder. A bottom clearance 201 is formed between the bottom-surface 134 of the inner cylinder and the bottom-surface 125 of the outer cylinder. A plurality of outer-cylinder bottom-surface openings 133 positioned outside of the inner-cylinder bottom-surface opening 126 are disposed in the outer periphery of the bottom-surface 134 of the outer cylinder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
