<p>A device for controlling the concentration of a material contained in a liquid, particularly the concentration of an alcohol contained in a varnish composition received in a varnishing container of an optical lens or other substrates is provided to avoid a need for manual addition of an alcohol, to protect workers from harmful conditions, and to realize high cost efficiency. A device for controlling the concentration of a material contained in a liquid, particularly the concentration of an alcohol(22) contained in a varnish composition(10) received in a varnishing container(1) of an optical lens or other substrates comprises a tank(11) linked to the outer surface of the container through a first conduit(13) by way of a continuously acting pump(15), and to an enclosed alcohol storage chamber(2) installed in a higher position than the tank through a second conduit(21). When the level of the varnish in the tanks drops below the junction point between the second conduit and the tank by the vaporization of the alcohol, bubbles are generated and rise to reach the alcohol storage chamber along the second conduit. Then, an excessive pressure in the alcohol storage chamber so that the alcohol is discharged dropwise into the tank until the level of the varnish in the tanks reaches a normal level above the junction point between the tank and the second conduit.</p> |
