PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display panel of an areal light-emission type capable of restraining unwanted viewing caused by differences of reflection factors or color hues among electrodes, sub electrodes and organic EL layers and their surroundings. SOLUTION: At least a transparent first support body, a first electrode, an organic EL layer, a second electrode, and a second support body are laminated in that order, and a light-emitting area is opened between the first electrode and the second electrode, an insulating layer is formed zoned so as to cover a non-emission area with a first support body side as a light-taking out side (also said to be an observer side), for the area light-emitting type organic EL display panel. The second electrode is formed of a black material with a low reflection factor in order to restrain unnecessary viewing due to differences of reflection factors or color hues of each part, and further, a viewing restraint layer made of a black material with a low reflection factor is arranged at a non-emission area.
