PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device capable of reducing power consumption, without affecting the image display. SOLUTION: The electro-optical device is directly connected to a battery, and comprises a display panel, a driver and a voltage adjustment circuit. The driver amplifies an inputted voltage and supplies the amplified voltage to a display panel. The voltage adjustment circuit comprises a plurality of conversion circuits, a switching device and a control circuit. The plurality of conversion circuits converts a voltage inputted from the battery into voltages which are respectively different from one another and supplies the converted voltages to the driver. The switching device switches a conversion circuit, to be supplied from among the plurality of conversion circuits. When detecting that the voltage amplification factor of the voltage amplified by the driver is changed, the control circuit controls the switching device and switches the conversion circuit to supply the voltage inputted from the battery.
