<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener, which is used for fastening a plurality of members having a plate part with a through-hole, with a high retaining force. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fastener 1 includes a female member 2 inserted in the through-hole with the position of the through-hole H being consistent therewith and the plurality of members to be fastened laminated, and having at least two expansion pieces 11; and a male member 3 provided to the female member so as to be relatively freely shifted and having a wedge part 32 engaged with the female member. The expansion piece includes an engaging recessed part 24 engaged with both end faces of the laminated member to be fastened when being expanded in the through-hole, and the wedge part is inserted between the expansion pieces to expand the expansion pieces when the male member is shifted on one side to the female member. Thus, the rigidity of the engaging part provided on the female member is secured, and simultaneously a suitable engaging portion to the through-hole drilled in the sheet part of the member to be fastened is secured.
