摘要 <p>Disclosed is a composite article having a smooth, bubble-free surface which is sufficiently puncture resistant that at a thickness of 1.8 mm it has an impact energy greater than 75 ft. pounds when subjected to a 30.5 pound DynaTup impact comprising: a) a barrier coat having a thickness greater than 5 mL which is the reaction product of (1) an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer having an NCO content of from 10 to 32% and (2) an isocyanate-reactive component comprising at least one amine-initiated polyether polyol having a functionality greater than 2 and an OH number of from about 60 to about 700 which is bonded to b) a fibre-reinforced polyurethane/urea which is the reaction product of (1) an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate having an NCO content of from about 6 to about 49% and (2) an isocyanate-reactive component comprising (i) at least one alkylene oxide polyether polyol which is initiated with a material that is not an amine having a functionality of at least 2 and an OH number of at least 28 and/or (II) at least one amine-initiated polyether polyol having a functionality greater than 2 and an OH number greater than 50, and (3) 5-60% by weight, based on total weight of fibre-reinforced polyurethane/urea b), fibres having an average fibre length of from 10 to 100 mm in amounts such that the ratio by weight of a) to b) is from 0.1 to 0.5. Also disclosed is a composite article from above in the form of a door panel.</p>
