PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize switching of the traveling wave directions, without providing a relay in order to remarkably improve the energy efficiency of a system as a whole. SOLUTION: Vibrators 5, 6 provided with piezoelements 7a, 7b are coupled across both ends of a vibrator 2. The distance between the coupling points of a horn at the vibrator 2 is set to an integral multiple of wavelength λ of the traveling wave, generated on the vibrator 2, + half-wavelength thereof. A feedback circuit is also provided, in which the piezoelements 7a, 7b of vibrators 5, 6 are respectively connected to a first and a second oscillators 10, 11 and vibration energy of the vibrator in the receiving side is converted to electrical energy and is then fed back as an electrical energy for vibrating the vibrator in the vibration side. A controller 14 controls outputs of the oscillators 10, 11, to satisfy a prescribed relation among output voltages of the oscillators 10, 11, input voltages to the piezoelements 7a, 7b of the vibrator in the vibration side and output voltages of the piezoelements 7a, 7b of the vibrator on the receiving side. |
