Provided are a method, a user device, and a computer program for providing a messenger service. According to the present invention, the method for providing the messenger service by a user terminal comprises: (a) a step of inputting selection for an emoticon input mode; (b) a step of inputting a text regarding the emoticon on a chatting window; and (c) a step of displaying the emoticon corresponding to the inputted text on a screen. The text regarding the emoticon includes at least one among words consisting of a name of the emoticon or at least one among the initial consonant of the name of the emoticon. |
