<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk apparatus and a method for controlling recording power which secure the quality in recording data to an optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk apparatus reproduces the data recorded in the optical disk, obtains a value β showing the asymmetry of an amplitude based on the reproduced data, calculates the inverse number of the change ratio of the value β to the recording power as a correction coefficient based on the plurality of values β, calculates a corrected recording power using the correction coefficient and corrects the recording power based on the calculated corrected recording power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
