摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel cell having excellent power generation performance in an operating temperature of especially around 500&deg;C-800&deg;C with respect to the solid oxide fuel cell equipped with a lanthanum gallate oxide in a solid electrolyte layer. <P>SOLUTION: This is the solid oxide fuel cell having a solid electrolyte layer between a fuel electrode and an air electrode, and one of the fuel electrode or the air electrode is a support body, and the solid electrolyte layer is provided with at least a first layer and a second layer from the support body side. The first layer contains a cerium-contained oxide as expressed by a general formula Ce<SB>1-x</SB>Ln<SB>x</SB>O<SB>2</SB>(provided that, Ln is a combination of any one kind or two kinds or more of La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Sc, and Y, and 0.30<x<0.50) and Ga element, and at least a part of Ga element exists dispersed between the grain boundaries of particles having the cerium-contained oxide as a principal component.
