PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method and a surface treatment line for a steel wire, in which the atmospheric corrosion apt to occur in the process of the surface treatment of the steel wire is suppressed, and a coating film of good quality is therefore formed on the steel wire.SOLUTION: The surface treatment method of a steel wire of the present invention is a method for continuously treating the surface of the steel wire, and comprises: a de-scaling step P2 of removing scale deposited on the surface of the steel wire by performing wet blast on the surface of the steel wire; a coating film treatment step P5 of forming coating film on the surface of the steel wire having passed through the de-scaling step P2; and a moisture amount control step P3 of adjusting a moisture amount on the surface of the steel wire immediately before treated in the coating film treatment step P5 to the predetermined moisture amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
