PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve timing mechanism capable of reducing a pressure loss of hydraulic oil.SOLUTION: The variable valve timing mechanism includes a vane rotor 10 and a housing. In a rotor part 11 of the vane rotor 10, a grooved first oil passage 141 extending along a peripheral direction is formed in an inner peripheral face, and a second oil passage 142 communicating the first oil passage 141 with a retard chamber is formed. The first oil passage 141 is formed so as to have different depths in the peripheral direction and is configured so that a region not corresponding to hole parts 13a-13c formed in the rotor part 11 is deeper than a region corresponding to the hole parts 13a-13c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
