PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output apparatus and so forth that enable a user, who moves on a prescribed route while freely changing his or her line of view, to be presented consecutive images before and after a branching point by automatically choosing the route beyond the next branching point.SOLUTION: An image output apparatus 1 accepts inputting of a shift of a viewpoint position 60 and a shift of a line of view direction 61 (S2), calculates a line of view angle &thetas;32 (S3), identifies the proceeding direction of the viewpoint position 60 (S4), and calculates proceeding rate P31 (S5). When it is determined that the viewpoint position 60 is before a branching point node 21c (S7), a global line of view angle &thetas;36 (S9) is calculated, and a branching angle &thetas;39 of each of the retrieved branching destinations is calculated (S10) to identify a branch ID 40 of each branching destination (S11). A panoramic picture corresponding to the line of view angle &thetas;32 is cut out of an all-direction picture 70 corresponding to the proceeding rate P31 to output a user input screen 41. |
