Each of the container upright surfaces has a linear section edge of packing material exposed towards the package exterior. The container has partly side walls (6) and partly a bottom part on which the packages are placed side-by-side. The bottom part has tracks or channels (9,10) which coincide with and accommodate the linear section edge, protecting it from coming into contact directly with the transport container (5) bottom, thus effectively protecting against aspiration of damp from the transport container bottom part into the section surface fibrous layer. - The tracks or channels are arranged with even distribution and orientated parallel with two opposite walls in the transport container. The distance between a side wall in the transport container and the nearest tracks or channels parallel to the side wall is less than the distance between adjacent parallel tracks or channels. |
