PURPOSE:To improve coating properties at the time of production and to eliminate peeling of an image receiving layer by providing the receiving layer capable of being transferred to a sheet to be recorded through an undercoating layer made of crosslinking material of ketone resin on a base material to form a heat transfer recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:Specified amounts of ketone resin and crosslinking agent are dissolved in solvent such as ethyl acetate, and an undercoating layer coating solution is prepared. On the other hand, polyester resin, acrylic resin, methacryl resin, styrene resin, etc., are dissolved in a solvent such as methylethylketone to prepare an image receiving layer coating solution. A base material made of polyethylene terephthalate film is coated with the undercoating layer coating solution by a gravure printer, and dried to form an undercoating layer. Then, the undercoating layer is coated with the receiving layer coating solution by the printer, dried, and an image receiving layer is laminated to obtain a heat transfer recording sheet. The obtained sheet has excellent cutting of its end at the time of heat transferring the receiving layer or sometimes in the case of heat transferring with low energy and can obtain a picture with no dense and pale irregularities. |
