TESTING METHOD OF SLIP OF TORQUE CONVERTER AND TORQUE CONVERTER TESTER

PURPOSE:To realize an inexpensive torque converter tester simple in structure for testing the slip of a torque converter. CONSTITUTION:In order to test the slip according to this method, a predetermined difference of the rotating speed is set between an input and an output shafts of a torque converter 15. The torque converter tester is provided at least with a DCM 2 to rotate the input shaft at the differential rotating speed via a bevel gear box 1 and an output shaft locking mechanism which frees the output shaft when the oil is supplied and locks the output shaft at the testing time. The DCM2 is formed to be operable while the output shaft is locked.
