PURPOSE:To enlarge the pull-down range for which one die is applicable and to decrease the number of times for replacing the die when the cable size is altered. CONSTITUTION:A fluororesin chip 12 is loaded detachably to the inside of a metal die body 11 in the vicinity of outlet thereof to form a land part 13. An annular fixing plate 14 abuts against the end face on the outlet side of the die body 11 and the resin chip 12. A bolt 15 is screwed into an internally threaded screw 16 made in the end face on the outlet side of the die body 11 at the peripheral part of the resin chip 12. The fixing plate 14 is secured to the die body 11 and the resin chip 12 is stopped by the fixing plate 12. Smooth appearance is ensured for the cable even when a die having larger diameter than a conventional metal die is used and a sheath having uniform thickness can be formed. Consequently, the pull-down range of die can be enlarged and the number of times for replacing the die can be decreased significantly. |
