PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a ball-point pen, which can prevent an ink from jetting out when the cap is removed due to the rise of the inner pressure of a ball-point pen main body or the so-called pumping of the ink from developing. SOLUTION: A tip cap member, with which a clip 14e is integrally formed, is attached to the tip of a rear end cap member 12 so as to cover its tip. The rear end edge of the tip cap member abuts against a stepped part 12a. Through the engagements of engaging projections 14c and 14d with through holes 12b and 12c, the tip cap member engagingly connects with a rear end cap member 12 into an integral cap. A connecting part C is formed by the rear end edge 14b of the rear end cap member and the stepped part 12e of the tip cap member 12. In the neighborhood of the connecting part C, a vent hole 12d extending backwards from the stepped part 12e ensures the circulation of the air inside and outside of the cap through the vent hole 12d, which is not covered with the tip cap member. |
