PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet material having high magnetic characteristic, good yield and high productivity, and a bond magnetic. SOLUTION: The magnetic material is charged into a cylindrical body 2 in a rapidly cooling thin strip producing apparatus 1 and heated and melted with a coil 4 and this molten metal 6 is ejected from a nozzle 3. The molten metal 6 is collided against the peripheral surface 53 of a cooling roll 5 rotated in the A direction, and after forming a paddle 7, this paddle is rapidly cooled and solidified while pulling with the peripheral surface 53 to form the rapidly cooled thin strip 8. The rapidly cooled thin strip 8 is soon separated from the peripheral surface 53 and advanced to the B direction. At the time of using Q (mm3/sec) for volumetric flow rate of the molten metal 6 ejected from the nozzle 3 and (w) (mm) for width of the obtd. rapidly cooled thin strip 8, the magnet material is produced so as to satisfy the following conditions: Inw<=0.3.lnQ-1.0, lnw<=0.3.lnQ-2.9, and 4.5<=lnQ<=6.9. |
