摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate problems in generating power by means of a motor- generator or in utilizing the electric power generated in a conventional hybrid vehicle. SOLUTION: When electric power generated by a motor-generator 26 is judged, by a judging means 82, to be in a state for supplying to the outside, a motor-generator 26 driving area actually used is switched to an other type of motor-generator driving area stored in an area storage means 80 by an area switching means 84. When either front wheels or rear wheels are used and power is generated by the motor-generator 26, while the other wheels are used to drive a vehicle by an electric motor 28, an engine stop area of an engine at time when the motor-generator generates power, namely a motor-generator area is adequately switched or changed, depending on the driving state. In the four wheel driving state, the motor-generator is used as quickly as possible as a power source of the electric motor, and in the two wheel driving state, the engine and the motor-generator 26 can be advantageously switched at the highest efficiency point.
