PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photographing system which obtains a proper exposure time without relying on the experience or the like of an operator, by using a look-up table(LUT) in which a photographing technique is made to correspond to the exposure time of a temporary photographing operation which is used to find the proper exposure time in a formal photographing operation. SOLUTION: A photographing system 100 which is used for a fluorescence detecting system or the like in a biochemical field or the like is provided, e.g. with a personal computer 40 which inputs the exposure time to a camera controller 30 which controls the exposure time of a photographing device 20. Then, when the kind of a photographing technique for fluorescence detection, chemiluminescence detection or the like is inputted by an operator to a photographing-technique input means 41, a temporary exposure-time setting means 42 refers to an LUT 43 which is stored in advance, and it finds a temporary exposure time so as to be outputted to the camera controller 30. For example, a temporarily photographed image signal which corresponds to a part of a sample 10 is inputted to a formal exposure-time setting means 44 via the camera controller 30, and the exposure time of a formal photographing operation is set by a method or the like which uses the density histogram of an image.
