<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding processor which efficiently performs decoding processing. <P>SOLUTION: The decoding processor is a software processing system 30 having a CPU 31 which decodes a target macroblock to be decoded by referring to decoding results of peripheral pixels in the same frame and a main memory 34 which stores the decoding results, and further includes an L2 cache 33 which stores as reference information the decoding result of a reference pixel, set by a CPU 31, which is possibly referred to by an arbitrary macroblock in the same frame, among a predetermined number of pixels constituting the macroblock having been decoded. The CPU 31 reads the reference information out of the L2 cache 33 according to the macroblock to be decoded and decodes the target macroblock to be decoded by referring to the read-out reference information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
