<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash lamp which can be suitably handled since possibility of its damage is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: In this XeF lamp 12, a translucent vessel 19 is disposed at one end side on its axis, and a stem having stem pins 20-23 are disposed at the other side on the axis. A lamp flange 26 has a body part 26a fixed to the stem 24, since it surrounds a part of the stem 24 with a prescribed space kept between, and the prescribed space is filled up with any adhesive member 27.
