PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding method for accurately guiding a person to be guided to a target place even on a complicated guiding route. SOLUTION: The guiding method for guiding the person to be guided to the target place from a spot at which a plurality of routes are intersected is provided with a guide sign including a map board on which routes of the person to be guided toward the target place are color-coded and a visible body, which is stood at a side of the map board so as to be combined with the map board so that the person to be guided sees the map board and colored in colors corresponding to the colors of the color-coded routes, so that the guide sign is used as the start of the guide. The method uses pole-like direction signs provided with colored units having a color which is set for each route leading to the target place at intervals on road faces to be branched from the spot at which the guide signs are prepared.
