摘要

An electron emission device includes a number of second electrodes intersected with a number of first electrodes to define a number of intersections. The first electrode includes a carbon nanotube layer and a semiconductor layer coated on the carbon nanotube layer. An insulating layer is sandwiched between the first electrode and the second electrode at each of the number of intersections, wherein the semiconductor layer is sandwiched between the insulating layer and the carbon nanotube layer.

1. An electron emission device, the electron emission device comprising:
a plurality of first electrodes substantially parallel to each other and extending along a first direction, wherein each of the plurality of first electrodes comprises a carbon nanotube composite structure comprising a carbon nanotube layer and a semiconductor layer coated on the carbon nanotube layer; a plurality of second electrodes substantially parallel to each other and extending along a second direction, wherein the plurality of second electrodes intersect with the plurality of first electrodes to define a plurality of intersections; and an insulating layer sandwiched between one of the plurality of first electrodes and one of the plurality of second electrodes at each of the plurality of intersections, wherein each semiconductor layer is sandwiched between the insulating layer and the carbon nanotube layer.
