摘要 A method for extracting an essence or perfume oil from pistachio hulls, the method comprises separating the pistachio green hulls or velvet hulls from pistachio nuts using an industrial separator and subjecting the hulls to an extraction method, which causes release of the essence from essence containing glands, wherein the essence mixes with steam forming vapors. The method further comprises distilling the vapors to form a liquid comprising the essence mixed with an aqueous component and separating the essence from the aqueous component. Compositions and methods for extracting perfume oil from pistachio hulls are described.
