Embodiments of the present technology relate to integrating web services into agent terminal systems. In one embodiment, a method includes monitoring commands on a native global distribution system desktop, the commands being input into native global distribution system (GDS) desktop in a native mainframe format, launching a user interface window of a web application for a map-based shopping and booking system in either a User Interface or in a native window when a travel request includes a trigger, providing the user interface window a local HTTP server with which to interface when running in the User Interface, and orchestrating communication between the native global distribution system (GDS) desktop, GDS web services, and the user interface window. |
