The present invention relates to a flame retardant resin composition comprising a copolymer of polyethylene naphthalate and polyethylene terephthalate. In the case of using the composition and being applied to a fire-proof window, the composition has the low specific gravity in comparison with the glass, and is advantageous to the lightening. The composition has the competitive impact strength in comparison with the glass or other transparent plastics for general uses, and has self-extinguishability which can be used as the fire-proof window. The composition enables a user to escape in a safe manner by easily inducing damage to the window in an emergency situation.
