PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which can adjust an upper limit value of a slit width of an outer column in an assembled state.SOLUTION: An outer column 12 includes a circular arc-like part 26 surrounding an inner column 11 and a pair of tabs 28 extended from the circular arc-like part and opposing to each other across a slit 27. A lock mechanism fastens a pair of side plates 22 of a bracket 17 to the pair of tabs 28 through a fastening shaft (refer to figure 5(a)). A slit width upper limit value adjustment mechanism 40 that adjusts an upper limit value W1 of a slit width W at the time when the lock mechanism is unlocked (refer to figure 5(b)) includes an adjustment shaft 50 which includes a center shaft line C2 extending in a column shaft direction X and can be rotatably operated and a driving member 60 which makes the pair of tabs 28 close to each other accompanying rotation of the adjustment shaft 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
