PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross shaft joint having good lubricating performance in a space between the end face of a shaft part and the inner bottom face of a bearing cup.SOLUTION: A bearing cup 4 is fitted to four shaft parts 30 of the cross shaft joint, and the shaft part 30 is formed with a hole 35 which is filled with grease 7 and opened to an end face 34 of the shaft part 30. A counterbore portion 36 is formed in the opening of the hole 35 where a cap 32 is mounted. The cap 32 being mounted in the counterbore portion 36 dimensionally projects from the end face 34, and so a clearance c is formed between the end face 34 and the bearing cup 4. The cap 32 is plate-shaped and does not close the whole opening of the hole 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
