PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelatinous composition which contains ferric citrate at high concentration so that the gelatinous composition can be readily taken by a renal failure patient or a dysphagia person (elderly person), and to provide a production method of the gelatinous composition.SOLUTION: There is provided the production method of a gelatinous composition containing 5 mass% or more of ferric citrate, the method comprising (A) preparing an aqueous solution of polysaccharide thickeners and low-molecular saccharides, and (B) adding the ferric citrate to the solution and stirring it under heating in such a manner that the end concentration of the solution becomes 5 mass% or more.
