Method for producing a molding from particulate and/or fibrous substrates based on renewable raw materials and a formaldehyde-free aqueous binder which comprises a polymer A and an alkanolamine B. The process includes a treatment of the particulate and/or fibrous substrates with an organic polyamine compound C prior to the application of the formaldehyde-free aqueous binder.
