PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reforming control device capable of sufficiently obtaining an effect of fuel consumption improvement in a lean-burn engine.SOLUTION: An engine 10 comprises a fuel injection valve 35 for reforming in EGR piping 32 that connects an intake pipe 11 and an exhaust pipe 21 of the engine. An ECU 40 executes fuel reforming control of supplying reforming gas, which is generated from fuel injected from the fuel injection valve 35 for reforming and exhaust gas, into the intake pipe 11. Further, the ECU 40 determines whether or not engine operation is in a lean combustion range. The fuel reforming control is not executed when the engine operation is determined to be in the lean combustion range, and execution of the fuel reforming control is permitted when the engine operation is determined not to be in the lean combustion range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
