PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor having sufficient measurement accuracy and an applicable temperature range, and a rotary machine.SOLUTION: A sensor includes: a sensor body having a detection unit configured to detect physical quantity of fluid; and a first jig that has a fixing part fixing the sensor body, a flow passage formation surface forming a part of an inner peripheral surface of a fluid passage in which working fluid of a rotary machine circulates, and a definition surface defining a detection space together with the detection unit of the sensor body fixed by the fixing part, and in which an open hole is formed from the flow passage formation surface to the definition surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
